Graduation Requirements

Schaumburg Christian High School requires the successful completion of an academic program accumulating of 19 units of credit (4-English; 3 ½-Social Studies; 3 Mathematics; 2-Science; 1/2 -Computer Science; 1-Physical Education - in two years; 5-Electives). A passing grade in Bible class is required every semester.

All students in grades seven through twelve must follow the course of study recommended to them by the administration.

Ninth

  • Bible 9
  • English 9 (or Honors English 9)
  • Algebra I or Honors Geometry
  • Economics (1 Semester)
  • Computers (1 Semester)
  • Physical Science
  • P.E.
  • Elective

Tenth

  • Bible 10
  • English 10 (or Honors English 10)
  • Geometry or Honors Algebra II
  • World History (or Honors World History or AP World History)
  • Biology (or Honors Biology)
  • P.E.
  • Elective

Eleventh

  • Bible 11
  • English 11 (or Honors English 11 or AP English)
  • Algebra II or Honors Trig/Pre-Calculus
  • U.S. History (or Honors US History or AP US History)

In addition to the above required classes, a wide range of electives are normally offered each year including the following:

Seniors who lack more than one credit will not be permitted to march in commencement exercises. Arrangements must also have been made to earn this credit in an approved program before the student may march. Schaumburg Christian High School cannot be responsible for the inconvenience caused by a senior's failing courses during the last days of school.
