At Schaumburg Christian School we will strive to maintain the health and safety of our employees, students, and their families during our 2022-2023 school year. In helping us do this, please continue reading this document to see what guidelines we have in place for the 2022-2023 school year.
Hand Hygiene
Schaumburg Christian School will continue to encourage frequent proper hand washing. Soap, paper towels, hand sanitizer, tissues, etc., will be in all common areas of the building. Hand washing with soap and water is always the first recommended line of defense, but where this is not feasible or readily accessible, the use of hand sanitizer will be used. Additionally, students will be directed and encouraged to avoid touching the face (eye, nose, mouth) to decrease the transmission of COVID-19 or other infectious diseases.
Social Distancing
Schaumburg Christian School will do its best to maintain social distancing in the classrooms while students are in their seats as well as at other locations throughout the building. Students will stay in separate classes except for when they are outside. All students will eat in the lunchroom separated by different tables according to their classes.
Facility-wide Cleaning and Disinfecting
Schaumburg Christian School will continue frequent cleaning and disinfecting to reduce exposure. This cleaning and disinfecting will include touched surfaces (e.g., door handles/knobs, desktops/tabletops, counter tops, light switches, pencil sharpeners, computer keyboards, hands-on learning items, phones, toys, cubbies/coat and backpack areas, sinks and faucets, buses/vans) on a daily basis. Schaumburg Christian School will be using EPA-approved disinfectants for use against the coronavirus.
